New Haven Register’s Cara Baruzzi Joins Coalition Board

Cara Baruzzi, who is business editor of the New Haven Register, has joined the board of the Literacy Coalition of Greater New Haven.  Her decade of work in journalism has repeatedly earned recognition from the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists.  She also received a 2007-2008 Community Award from the Junior League of Greater New Haven.  A champion of reading who for several years has been a volunteer tutor with New Haven Reads, she is from a family of educators; her mother is a public high school English teacher and her father a school district superintendent.  Active in the community of young professionals in greater New Haven and acquainted with the region’s business community and its priorities, Cara Baruzzi brings welcome knowledge and experience to the Coalition board.  Follow her on Twitter @CaraBaruzzi or visit her blog, Going Pro.
