A November 2011 post on “Library Art, Science, and Technologies” included mention of Harvard history professor and university library director Robert Darnton.

Since then, he has received an honorary degree from Yale and written a June 2012 article in the New York Review of Books “in defense of the New York Public Library.” The “loud debate” over that library’s extensive renovation and reorganization plans were also treated this month in a report on NPR.
