“Why Read, Anyway?”

A Literacy Forum on “Engaging Young Readers, in School and Beyond” will be held Wednesday, October 23, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at the main branch of the New Haven Public Library.

Panelists include New Haven Public School teachers, a school librarian, the Public Library’s teen services librarian, and three young readers — one high-school student and two recent graduates. ┬áThe moderator, Mindi Englart, participated in a WNPR program on “How Can We Make Kids Enjoy Summer Reading?”

The event is free of charge, and light refreshments will be served.
