The Literacy Coalition invites you to consider opportunities to volunteer, including:

  • Tutoring adults or children
  • Teaching computer skills to adults or children
  • Reading to children
  • Collecting/distributing books
  • Assisting with office/administrative work, including grant-writing, communications, and events

Time commitments vary; you can devote a few hours per month or per week. Locate an organization based on the type of service you’d like to volunteer.

Concepts for Adaptive Learning

Concepts for Adaptive Learning (CfAL) has adopted a holistic framework for improving educational outcomes that includes projects and programs for students, educators, parents and the community. CfAL installs computers and computer-related equipment, integrates educational software in classrooms and homes, and trains teachers and parents.
